Andrew Light
Clean Energy Specialist

Andrew Light is a Clean Energy Specialist in WRI's U.S. Energy Program.
Prior to joining WRI, Andrew worked as a Program Manager for IREC, specifically on the U.S. Department of Energy-funded SolSmart program. In that role, he provided technical assistance to local communities that are working toward a clean energy transition. Prior to working on the SolSmart program, Andrew developed the first statewide clean energy zoning database in Michigan.
Andrew holds a M.S. in Environmental Policy from the University of Michigan's School for Environment and Sustainability and a B.A. in International Relations and Philosophy from Grand Valley State University.
Andrew lives in Washington, D.C. with his partner, Saachi, and dog, Fargo.
